Written at a soundcheck in Hawaii in late 1983, Pride trailed the greatly anticipated fourth album The Unforgettable Fire which entered the UK chart at number one. Taking a day off from a busy schedule, Bono and Adam both appeared on the single Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid.
